A substrate material for sensing elements used in aerospace, medical diagnostics, and industrial measurement & control applications. Inconel alloys (e.g., 625, 718) exhibit good high-temperature stability, oxidation resistance, and elastic modulus consistency across a wide temperature range. The resulting precision strip (approximately 0.01–0.08 mm thick) maintains stable mechanical properties from –200 °C to 800 °C and demonstrates strong resistance to acids, alkalis, salt spray, and electromagnetic interference. Typical applications include strain gauge foils, thermocouple sheaths, MEMS pressure sensor diaphragms, and elastic elements in inertial navigation systems. The level of purity, surface roughness, and residual stress control significantly influences sensor sensitivity, zero drift, and long-term reliability.
